Hi everyone, I know some of you will say this belongs in the wanted portion, but it is not one specific thing I am looking for, more of a general idea.

kind of like how ppl post where can I get the best (insert product type here)

I want to know where is the best place for kids stuff, both well known and lesser known places.

everything, from avatars to walks

I am going to be starting a kid line at Rha! and have been doing some research on how hard or easy things are to find, and the general way that kid stuff is sold

it is not easy, kinda on the same line as men's stuff
hard to find, either I find stuff that is wayyyy expensive, or stuff that is not what I need, or I dislike it

the one thing that has eluded me is a good kids walk (not skipping but just walk)
(I even asked mari, our very well known resident forum's child) and she too said it is hard to find.

:(

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

there is a HUGE mall with like, 100 stores in it. i can't remember where, but if you do a search in places for "kids" you will find it.

best.

3 ring, I probably saw it
was at a place that had tons of kid stores, all seemed to be the same thing, either the same animations everywhere else, or the same furniture, same swingset, same pattycake stuff

even the clothes seemed to look the same LOL

but I am still willing to look if anyone knows of places

getting frustrating as the one thing escaping me is good animations

i think there are only about 5 AO's out there, to choose from. maybe you can make some new ones. :D

i actually am not a kid, altho i do have that baby costume. but an SL friend is a kid, and we went shopping a couple of times there. she bought a TON of clothes.... FYI.
i think alot of the clothes are too mature for a kid, but that's just me.

not sure if Clown Town is all still there but there's many malls for child avs. I go to Inner Child a lot for being a mall but have come to be more of a small store shopper. I find it fun searching !! :)

Seems to me there used to be a lego town. not sure tho.

I heard my name...

The big mall mentioned below is Inner Child Depot. You'll find it in Fletcher. There's also the sims of Starlight Starbright, Little Paradise, Masquerade Island (the aforementioned Clown Town), Livingtree, Tajmahal, an a few other places too.

You'll also find a list of places off the SLC blog - http://secondlifechildren.blogspot.com/

but ya, you will find dat kid AOs are harder to come by, and there are limited options out there. A lot of them have that "skip walk" in it, too, because no one has really made a good kids walk (help me, Animazoo!)

The best AO I've heard of it in Little Paradise.
Child Multitool is also in Little Paradise, an is a child avvie must hand
Some of the best gestures are form child haven
Best skins and shapes are in Kick The Can in Livingtree.
I prefer Tami McCoy's hair for kids, but there are others out there, too.
Vertically challenged make some of the best shoes, but Jill Caldera's Wheelys are a must have in my wardrobe
Girl's clothing picks include Kick The Can in Livingtree, Chelsea's Childrens' Clothes in Starligth Starbright, Angelina's Little Girls Clothing, and Bunny Creek; Boys clothing is much more limited, and of these Loki's is a stand out.

Forgive the shameless plug please...

I sell a range of child poses which are very good sellers, plus toys which many child avs purchase - check out my store on Tin Teddy island, or my booth at Inner Child.

There's a neko store in the Song region that has a cool neko kid AO. I know someone who has it and most of it is cute. (^_^)

I think animations for kids is the hardest yet to find
heck made my own skin clothes and shoes so not really looking to buy, just seeing what is out there

even made a doll with the hold animation, and a baby bottle LOL

and made a bunk bed, and a table and chairs

this is fun!!

I checked out your store (left a pic on the picture board hehe)

I liked the poses but I am looking for animated ones more than static

I will prolly be back so I can use them for photoshoots

Thanks for posting

time to check out a few more places

somehow I missed this post LOL

yes I find that a lot of places that advertise kids stuff, the stuff is more adult than kid (including clothes they are putting out there)

my aim and goal is to try to make kids clothes that look like kids clothes

:)

kids cloths...

Well, we found some cool kids cloths, but most of them are for 0-6yo.

The actual trends is "street wear" or "kiddypunk/goth" we saw in RL today.
