I have been searching for the answer and couldn't find one so I thought I'd ask here.
I like to go to clubs and dance. Sometimes I am asked to dance with someone. How do I dance with a person rather than the dance ball or the dance floor?

Hi Steely, If there a poseballs on the dancefloor you can use those to dance together with someone. It is also possible that the person asking you to join them is wearing a dance machine, in which case you may need to click on a part of their body to join in. You will then be dancing the same dance as that person, but not together. Happy dancing  |

I suppose you could just buy your own dances. There are also a lot of freebie dances floating around that you could also use. Just play them from your inventory or put them into some kind of dance hud.

For couples dances, you need to look for the blue and pink poseballs, like "ballroom," "tango," etc. Most dance clubs have couples dances scattered around as well as a dance ball or dance machine above the dance floor that you can click on. It usually will ask if it can animate your avatar; say yes. Like mentioned above there are lots of freebie dance animations out there that you can double click on from your inventory to run on your avatar. I wouldn't run out and buy a "machine" just yet... play around with your options for a while. At the Forum Hangout (on the Allana sim, near the ocean) we have 2 dance balls and some random couples dances scattered around. Everyone is welcome to come and hang out! |

I would also suggest that you buy your favorite dance poseballs... this way you can dance anywhere that allows you to rez things. Few things beat dancing on a beautiful beach while the sun sets... .d |

I clicked on it and I was dancing with her. Pretty cool. I think that was a Chimera that was attached to her body and she invited it to animate you. You can buy loads of animations and put them in the Chimera and run them as you like. |
