Together with a partner I own a group which owns a mall. We have about 20 tenants. Nobody in the group has the box "paying group liabilities" ticked except me and my partner. Sudenly I receive a lot of complaints from my tenants that LL charged them L$1 for group liabilities.
How come? I will refund the L$1s, but why did that happen?

They actually Complained or just commented? If they complained for being charged 1L, give me their name and I will send them 12L to shut them up for a few weeks.

Permissions have been historically quite balky in SL; I've no reason to expect that the additional role options are any better. I'll make the same offer at Alt did, thus doubling the time period. Make sure you edit the settings for the role "everyone". By default, it is set to apply group liabilities (in this case I'm guessing classifieds) to all members.

This was it! I had checked all roles I created, but not the default "Everyone". This role had the payments box ticked.

Q about the purpose of group liabilities: Where does this money GO? Is there some group bank account that I don't know about? What's it for? Group maintenance? Tier? Overdue library books?
