How do I delete an object that I can't see?

I've used an object finder to pinpoint the sucker. I've used command-option T to get all the red glowing prims. I can see the floating text above it. BUT I CAN'T SEE THE PRIM ITSELF!!! I even used the "About Land" function and got nice glowing white lines around everything I owned EXCEPT THE OBJECT I WANT TO DELETE!!!

Sorry... didn't mean to shout.

Any suggestions how to delete or return (as I "own" the region) a prim with active scripts that doesn't show up?

I did chicken out on clicking the Return Objects... button. Even though the ellipses indicates that I will have further options available after clicking on the button, I didn't want to risk returning all my items to me.

Can you drag s e l e c t it ? Drag a s e l e ction box around it?

Is it one of the ghosted scripts referred to in jira

http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3867

"Scripts are not removed from the sim when the object containing them is removed"

If it is an object that for some technical problem is considered as being there by the sim but you can't see it, maybe you could divide the land and make a tiny parcel that would contain only that object and use about land on the the tiny parcel to return the objects on the tiny parcel?

Tried and failed to drag select. Dividing my region into tiny parcels sounds pretty complicated. There must be an easier way to delete this.

Don't get me wrong... I appreciate the suggestion.

Restarted my region... but that didn't work.

I need a priest to perform an exorcism.

Be careful doing this if you have vendors on your island:

Disable scripts for the entire region.
restart the region.
Enable scripts for the island.

Sometimes that gets rid of them.

That didn't work.

But this did:

World>Region/Estate>Debug>Get Top Scripts...

It's a great little dialog box that shows all the scripts running. You simply select the script and hit the Return Selected button.

Piece of cake.

Thanks for all your help! Sorry to be such a noob.
