No notice..nothing. I relog, and when I go to log in - it says my computer cannot access Second life.
Yet my accounts sign in fine on my fiance's computer.
Any ideas, suggestion?
Would a total reformat work?

Lemme check Grid page. But it does mean your client worked for Aditi. Maybe download the RC?

Anytime I try to connect to the main grid it says 'Login failed. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer.'
Yet my account works on other computers. |

The other computers arent having issues. I'll try that tonight though when people go to bed.
If I reformat will it show up as a different computer and possibly work? |

Cable modem through router D'oh color me blonde lol anyway, since the puter you are posting from can access both this forum and the Aditi Grid, it's probably not the wiring. And since the other computers in the house can let you access SL with the avatar, I'm not sure what the heck is wrong. Firewall? Windows update? _____________________

I'm not sure. Its been running since I got the new security.. for some reason acting up now. I have a support ticket in.
Support tickets gone up from basic help, as an update, and this is after making it exempt from firewall. |

Earlier in this thread, you mentioned a DNS issue. Have you verified that your HOSTS file has not been compromised? Have you verified your network settings on your computer (particularly the DNS IP)? Have you tried rebooting the router anyway?

I reset the router and modem last night (I couldn't right then - 3 other people connected in the household, so waited til people were in bed) and this morning I could get in. Later on I'm going to verify it on each account, then close the support ticket if it works. I don't know what they did or if it was the router/modem, but last night was extremely aggrivating.
