I recently bought three smaller plots but I'd like to create one single larger piece of land from the three and wondered how the 'join land' button in the 'terraine tab' of 'build' works. The property within this region can be joined and sub-devided..it says in 'about property'.

Anyone got any suggestions on how this join thing works..

Thanks..Perre..:)

PS all the plots border each other

open 'join land' right click on one parcel and drag, a yellow box will appear, drag the box so that a part of it is on all three parcels and click join land

while in "edit terrain" , left click the land within one plot and drag it over to another plot, release the mouse button which will give you option to "join land". Then repeat for the next plot.

open your edit panel and click on "Select Land"
"Click & Drag" the cursor from one lot over the border to the next lot you want to merge.
You'll see a yellow box appear on the ground to show the land you've selected.
Click the "join" button.
Voila! The land is now joined.
=)

Edit to add, What he said! lol

I suggest you go check out Torley's video tutorials, like this one on joining and subdividing land:

Good luck to you!

Ah it's all so easy when you know how..but then I've never owned plots neighbouring each other so never had to 'join'. Thanks gang I now have one big lump of water.

Now I thought I'd seen all Torley's vids..must have missed that one....hmmm

Thanks again..Perre..:D

Just in case somebody finds this thread in the future: Sometimes shortly after you purchase a parcel, there's just no way to get the "Join" button to light up. It may help to TP to a different sim, or relog, but sometimes you just have to wait it out.

also note that you can join parcels that are in the same sim, even if they are not touching one another's borders

(just in case anyone is searching and finds this thread in the future)
