I try to input my credit card info, but it keep request the ZIP/Postal code! I live in Hong Kong and no such thing, what can i do?

Another problem is, it require "street name" and "city".. Should i just input that, or the full address associate with my credit card?? Very confused... i even don't know which part of information is not correct! Too little information in the update form! just keep "Not Authorized", period.

it is unbelievable! i want shopping, i have credit card, but not authorized???

Appreciate if any nice people can tell the solution.:)

Did you put in that you are from Hong Kong? I know the forms adjust depending on which land of origin you enter.

First, go to the Support page and file a Support Ticket. Detail as much as you can about all that has happened, and all the problems you have encountered. The more information you can give Billing, the better. Also, request some one that speaks your own language to assist you. I'd be lost in any other language, and that's why they have Lindens that are bilingual.

Second, if you are a Premium Account (which is doubtful since you can not verify the CC), go through the Solution Finder on the Support page. Search for answers to your question there. If none help, it will direct you to Live Chat with a Linden after four steps.

Thrid, e-mail Billing direct. I am unsure of what e-mail address to use, but I will look and repost if I can find it.

@ RezMods. If a RezMod reads this, could you direct a link to this thread to Billing, or to Support? Apparently someone in Billing dropped the ball on setting up the CC verification page for all countries and that needs addressed ASAP.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Do you mean at the time of registration? Yes, although forgot the procedure, but had it asked my living location, i must input Hong Kong..

Yifei,

I'm attempting to contact Billing through Live Chat for you. Apparently they are all at a meeting right now (at least that's the message I've gotten.)

I will direct them here to this thread when I can get in contact with them. Try to keep watching this thread. Hopefully I can get through soon and ahve them contact you directly to help you.

Yifei,

I have Marc Linden on chat. He needs a Support Ticket entered and can direct the ticket from there, once you create it. Have you done so yet?

Well, I hit a brick wall. Seems Billing won't even come to the forums to help someone to gain what information they need. Until you sumit a Ticket, or call, there's nothing to be done.

Apparently the policy is in place to prevent the disclosure of private data on a public forum. Which I agree with, but they can at least come and walk a new customer through making a Ticket to ensure they have all the needed data to help them.

And now I can't even get an operator from Billing in chat. Even though it's "24/7" *smirks*

Good luck, Yifei. Let us know if it works out for you.

Only two *grins* But thanks.

I just think it's stupid to only have a Live Chat line for Premium accounts. Since the Basic accounts are the newbies that need the help most, and they won't become Premium if they get crap service.

People can say "You get what you pay for." all they want, but if LL wants more Premium, they need to take that little extra effort to get them. It's like promotions at work. You don't get them for being standard, or adequate. You get promoted for being exceptional, and above average.

So I'll use "what I pay for" and continue to do Live Chats for those that have problems that LL should look into. I would urge others to think about doing the same. Even if just once a week, we have enough numbers to make a difference.

Also, if there is a "policy" that prevents acceptable service, in yoru opinion, complain about it. Through official channels that is. Try not to take it out on the poor Linden doing their job. They might not like the policy either, but it is their job to follow it.

In this case, not comming to the forums was pathetic, imo. I'm hoping there is some behind the scenes help in the Support Ticket going on. Marc, and Dean (I had two Lindens working on this actually), seemed to want to help and stressed making the Ticket so they could.

I really think Support management needs to pull their heads out of dark recesses and go over their policies and practices from a top down rebuild of their department. If anyone in my company told a customer they couldn't help them unless they went to a specific place without helping the customer get to that place, I'd fire whoever was in charge of that decision. I'm a real b**** to work for though *grins* Comes from working with munitions and expanding the company 600% in a year in a half ^.~

Jessy...

I come back to this thread now (so late :p)

Because my shopping implus was turned off. I used my other cards to register, but it even return "please use another payment method"! I have never encounter such problem for any online shopping, and for years already:mad:

Registering a credit card for international payment is very normal, even small web service can do that without problem. i don't think a company as LL should leave the CC registering process such a mess. Now i scare to use my card with such service.

Anyway, thank you very much for your concern Jessy:)

Yep, they are pretty much morons about taking money from customers. At Linden Lab, e-commerce is like a trip back to 1993. I've seen people post "well just re-enter all your personal information if you want to buy on LindeX" as if this was normal and expected. I've even seen the Lindens say it which I read as "we can't figure out what we screwed up, so we'll just inconvenience you all instead of fixing it".

Morons.

Can you use Paypal and use your CC as funding?
I have not heard from others from HK having the same problem ... I will invite you to the HKese group (if you are not already a group member) and you can ask others from the group how they fund the account.
