Isn't that what is supposed to happen? This is a glitch that never fails to leave me dying laughing, even when it happens to me, which it hasn't, in a long time. I mean, 'why' shoes and hair, mostly? Why not, say, furniture or kitchen gadgets or pool water? But always stilletos and hair. This is the first time I've heard about anything different, the collar. Guess we are branching out. This kind of thing always cracks me up, same with the 'bent at the waist, head up the butt' syndrome that we all suffered from for awhile. It's hilarious to me. ![]() |

STILLETOS? ![]() Yeah; as I recall, during TP, SL would pull random crap out of your inventory and attach it to your body; but for some reason was usually stilletos and hair; although I did have a friend who walked around with a tie hanging out of his butt all day, before anyone told him. Stilletos were very popular items for SL to shove up an av's butt, back in the day.... It's like, plan on TP'ing somewhere, plan to arrive in disarray... |

has any one else had the return of tping and several various items make there debut in there posterior? I haven't seen a case of shoeass in a long time, but maybe it's back. People have reported difficulty in teleporting lately, if they are wearing attachments; that is probably related. |

I remember when it wasn't just attachments either... you'd go to turn to look at something and your whole body from the waist up would flip there....
(if i were to take a guess someone tweaked Nicks patch, and now slow responding servers are causing items to not get their correct attach position/offset again in some cases?) _____________________

I haven't seen a case of shoeass in a long time, but maybe it's back. I've been having a variation on this theme - one shoe (usually stilleto) is on my foot just fine, but flipped around backwards on the other foot. I read the notes that came with the shoes (and it's been more than one pair and different designers - they came from the DSN service) and it said that some of the shoes were made with sculpties and might not "look right" until the textures rezzed in so to be patient and they would eventually be ok. Now just why this would affect one foot/shoe only is beyond me. So the other day I put the shoes on...and waited an hour...nothing changed. I *do* use an old school viewer with Nicholaz that I am very happy with (older computer) but still couldn't understand why a viewer situation would only affect one shoe. But, to satisfy my curiosity, I downloaded the latest Emerald Viewer, put the same shoes on....and they BOTH looked fine. *sighs* Apparently this is a viewer issue (STILL doesn't make sense for one shoe to be ok on the older viewer). The Emerald Viewer is very interesting, but runs slooooowly on my PC, taking forever for clothes to decide to "wear", etc. Perhaps tweaking some of the settings would help...I just need to study that a bit more. Errrr, what were we talking about? Oh right...collars up the butt. I hear it's the newest rage on Gor. *winks* _____________________

It sounds like LL has connected the "adult filter" to the hidden FIC/linden "insert head" and "insert attachment" buttons. Shame on you for triggering it!! (Lol kidding) |

YES!!! The Linden Higher Up's View of the WORLD! But I had this combined with the shoe up the butt. I guess my poor avatar got tired of wondering where her hair went and went in after it? _____________________

Mirrored sculpts is why. The shoemaker creates one shoe, then makes a copy and just checks the 'mirrored' option so that it fits the other foot. Unfortunately, older viewers don't render mirrored sculpts properly. Ahhhh...now that you mention it I recall reading something awhile back about mirrored sculpts but since I rarely use sculpts in my building I didn't pay much attention to it. Dang it!! Thanks for solving the mystery Skell! For awhile I thought I was getting shoes that were "seconds." lol _____________________
