This has to be a SL issue, but I'm not sure what to do.
I have the Gypsy climbing rope (which I love). One of them accidentally was sent offline and returned by SL. Except that it kept returning it, several times.
There's a ball that rezzes which I think holds the animation to make the av climb the rope. Now SL just continues filling my inventory Lost and Found folder with these balls. It won't stop. I logged off and on to see if that would stop it, but it didn't.
As I logged off the second time, I have over 2000 balls in my inventory (some I've moved into the trash, but it just keeps filling with more balls).
I can't do anything with my inventory while this is happening, everything is just crazy.
Help?
It's actually kind of funny except that it's not. (I've IMed the creator, but Gypsy isn't online at the moment) I'm sure this is NOT Gypsy's fault - I have a number of Gypsy items and they all rock the house. I don't want anyone thinking that!

I say let it go for a week or 2 and see if you plug up a hard drive on the asset server.
All kidding aside. Do you know where the object is? And what do you mean by it was sent off line?
You might try muting the object

Dunno if a cache clear would help on that or not.. Probably not but it's easy enough to try anyway.
/me votes support ticket - LL would probably really like to know about something like this, especially if you can figure out how you made it happen.

Oh, cache clear is worth a try! Can you do a support ticket if you don't have a premium account?
Dilbert, I rezzed another copy of the rope, and I'm not actually sure if the crazy balls are coming from the rope sent offline or the rope I rezzed. I couldn't find the new one, which is how I discovered the nightmare - I was trying to use Ann O'Toole's fabulous Snooper tool to help me find it, and couldn't do anything with inventory. So I couldn't use it. My inventory is just fubar for the moment.
Oops, by offline I meant off world. (I'm a little stressed...lol) It's on a private sim, and if you accidentally lose control of an object and send it out too far, it goes into SL never never land, and that's off world. Off the sim. And SL returns it to you. I've done it a few times myself, and until now, was never a big deal.
I'm off to see if I can submit a support ticket...thanks you guys!

Good news! It stopped. LOL. I had logged off for awhile, and just logged on, was going to clear cache, and the balls have now stopped. I've deleted them all and cleared the trash, so far so good.
I did submit a support ticket.
Thanks for the help...that was the craziest thing.

I am guessing the ball is copyable... it might be that when it went off world (I am guessing that is what you meant) that it kept sending you a copy of it, instead of sending the actual one that went missing.

My guess is the object is at the edge of the region somewhere and it is rezzing the balls off the sim because it is next to the sim line. Run around the sim line and or look at 0.0.1 location. sometimes they end up there. EDIT: Glad you got it stopped
