If i do not own land can you tell me where I can make my home site, got booted to my old one on a sim crash which proved embrassing.

Open your map and make sure those are visible (you may have to turn off some of the others for clarity) and select one. Some are busier than others: I'd suggest Branworth of Hyles as far as least-busy, least-trouble is concerned, and not recommend Ahern or Waterhead.

Pretty much just Welcome Areas, unless you have a friend or are in a group that will allow it on their land.

Some groups with land also let you set home there. I have my home set to NCI.
But unless you own land, the home locations you can set are pretty public. So if you caught in a sim crash during certain...um...activities, expect to be embarrassed.

You can always go into Preferences and change your login to 'Last Location,' then make sure you tp to your chosen spot before logging off.

If you don't already know this might be useful information: you can have a location field on your login screen by setting that preference (in General, I think).

If it is the embarassing issue that is of concern - go the the Forum Cartel hangout (Forum Cartel in search). Join Forum Cartel group (I think it is Forum Cartel in group search). When you arrive you will be on a deck. Walk forward into the room towards the bar. Turn when you find the first door. Go through. Look on the ground for a teleporter. Wearing the group tag go up. You will be taken to a changing room in the sky. Set home point there. Now when you crash while naked, you will go back to a place (if back to home point) where you can be naked. Um, in the sky in the changing room, I mean.

For that matter, I know a sekret little spot in Livingtree that wayward kid avvies (and others) may set their home location.
