Hi Guys,

We are setting up a commerce system in second life to sell real life products inside SL. Does anyone know hot the limitations on for how much linden dollars a resident can sell inside SL work exactly?

The information on the website about billing and trading limits is not totally clear to me since they talk about "level1" and "level 2" et. Which one applies to a normal resident exactly?

Can anyone help me here?

thanks

If it's been at least 30 days since the first time you were billed (for anything) by LL, you'll be at Tier 1 (http://secondlife.com/currency/describe-limits.php - one column will be a darker than the others, that's what trading limit you're currently at) which would allow you to sell US$2,500 worth of L$ on the LindeX every month.

If you need more than that, you'll have to apply for a review (through a support ticket) and cross your fingers and make a prim sacrifice to appease the Linden gods to look at it sooner rather than later :p.

(Oops :o. If you just meant selling a product in L$ and you never want to cash anything out then Alicia is obviously right, there's no limit on that :). Only if you want to actually cash out in US$)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Few questions though.

"If it's been at least 30 days since the first time you were billed (for anything) by LL"

You mean something like bying Linden Dollars already qualifies for billing?

Some more questions:

How do you get to level 2?

And what exactly makes you a business owner or/and a entreprise?

Hope you can help me, thanks

Anything that actually uses your payment method qualifies :). Just look for the darker column to see which level you're currently at.

Just put in a support ticket with the proper category and ask for a review, and/or more information.

If you really need to transfer serious hard cash from SL, the best way to deal with this is to telephone Billing Support and explain the situation, they can increase your levels while your talking to them.
