does anyone know of a skin that has shiny lip gloss on the lips? Can it be added on or does it have to be part of the skin?

Any suggestions?

Mine has shiney lip gloss, but I can't recall where its from. I'll check inworld tonight and IM you if you don't have any answers on this thread.

A lot of the big skin designers will offer a variety of lip treatments. I use SinSkins 2.0 and there are glossy lip models among the selections. I'm sure it's the same for the others.

Hmmm..I've used SinSkins exclusively pretty much from the beginning, but Nomine, ALady, Chip Midnight, and Vogue come to mind. Annie, I think you should take this call.......

I checked out Sin Skins, I'm looking for something with more shine to it, the ones I saw were too dull.

I am a skin vendor, so I'm not going to tell the OP who to buy from, rather just what to look for.

Definately go with a skin that can be customized from scratch. There are plenty out there. You want a skin that treats the lip textures very naturally (not too much contrast or saturated color) to begin with. Gloss can be layered over a natural color or an enhanced color, and should be an accessory just like in RL. Unfortunately, there is currently only ONE layer slotted for the head texture, so any skin you choose will need to be accessorized as another complete skin. Depending upon who you buy from, that will either be one-off custom work, part of a skin set, or modular custom work. Prices will vary.

Some of my Gala skins have a nice glossy look.

Some skins are also modifiable in the sense that you can adjust things like lip color and gloss using the standard Appearance sliders. Celestial Studios Vogue is one of those.

I saw a skin that had the nicest looking glossy lips that I had ever seen. It was a Tete a Pied skin. I bought it too. I think most other skin makers have a glossy lipstick option. You can't add makeup to your skin unfortunately.
