Does anyone, anywhere, know of a website that can help create your own avatar from scratch?? I want to make a dragon avatar but nowhere can I find a site that could assist me. thank you.

not aware of anywhere like that I'm afraid, but I believe Grendel's Children (think that is the right name, not inworld to check right now) do some amazing ones, but am sure someone else will know better than me

one of the irritating nuances of SL is that you can't simply "make" an av in the normal sense. You cannot start from a blank slate, create a mesh, and then upload that *as* an av. You can only "shape" the existing de-facto mesh using predefined sliders. All of which is very humanoid in design. To make av's outside that you need to build each limb and body part seperately and then attach each piece over the standard human av like a skeleton. I'm not aware of any site that walks thru the entire process (some might exist, I'm just not aware). But to get started on manufacturing the various pieces you should google terms like Blender and sculptie.
