Yeah, i don't get it either exactly. I started up second life on my new laptop and to my surprise, something wasn't right. I re logged to try to fix he problem but it didn't help. I can not see my skin for some reason. I can see most of my clothes and the eyes, but that's all. If anyone has some advice, that would be great. Thank you.

If it's not a recurring problem, don't worry about it.
Is the skin still in your Inventory, and shown as worn?
Have you tried the clear cache trick? And the rebake textures trick?
When Second Life is experiencing load problems, it may not be able to retrieve items in your inventory from the database, such as your skin. As long as the skin is not suddenly missing from your inventory, I wouldn't worry about it yet. If it persists a day, or durring low-traffic periods, then you may want to try Live Chat help to see what can be done.

The skin is still in my inventory, just doesn't appear on my body. I'm not sure on how to do these tricks though.

Edit > Preferences > Network > Clear Cache
Ctrl-Alt-R to rebake
