i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get my snapshots into my inventory.... help?

You need to "Upload" your snapshots when you take them. There's an option for upload, which will cost you L$10 each photo.

we were all strapped for L$ when we first started. You can download your pics to a graphics program and save them on your hard drive if you like, and upload them later at your leisure, using the File/Upload menu option, but that will still cost L$10/pic.

An alternative is Snapzilla. You can make a photo album and link to it on your profile's web tab. People can see it by looking in your profile or by going to the website... which is somewhere on sluniverse.com. Since sending photo postcards is free the whole thing is great for people who don't have money.... great for people who do as well.
