Anyone else noticing this? If not then how do i fix it if it's a local problem?

I would say it looks like your video card is faulty, overheating or underpowered though in the latter case the drivers are supposed to warn you of this.

Only way to really try to fix it is to pop in another card and see if the symptom goes away. Does not have to be the latest and greatest if you are just borrowing one from a friend to check. Should be an Nvidia that is compatible with your current drivers though, you don't want to be reinstalling drivers - that would only add to your problems.

If the problem goes away then you are looking at a new graphics card purchase, if the problem persists then it could be the heat issue or power related.

You tried unchecking (or checking as the case may be) all the usual culprits for weird graphics behaviour?

VBO used to be one cause for rainbow streaks although it wasn't quite like quite like your screenshots.

old client you could try:
prefs->adv graphic details -> disable opengl vertex buffer

no idea where it went in the new client tho

Edit / Preferences / Graphics (make sure Custom is checked) / Advanced / uncheck VBO.

HAHA this is totally odd. I uninstalled the drivers, deleted C:\NVIDIA and re installed the drivers. The problem has cleared up now. I guess i need to close the ticket. :D Thanks for the suggestions. They kinda got me thinking on what to do.

Glad it was something less drastic than what I had imagined. I must admit I had assumed you had tried reinstalling drivers, which just goes to show the dangers of assuming lol :)

It is strange because yesterday i did something similar. I replaced the drivers by re running the installer. When that didn't work, i installed the beta drivers to see if they worked better. I guess i had to clear out the drivers completely and reboot for it to actually work. :D

Ahh I see, well the main thing is that you got a no cost solution to your problem :)

good to see it wasn`t the gfx card :)

general rule of thumb with drivers
remove using the uninstaller (or windows software)
reboot
reinstall version *
reboot
adjust settings

installing drivers on the fly over eachother can give problems some times wich are most obvious when it shows on your screen directly :p
