Crash on Snapshot to Disk?

Ok.. I have been photographing in SL for 6 months or so, both saving to disk and snapshots directly in world. Starting yesterday, I now crash the second I hit the ctrl+~ keys to save to disk. I have updated drivers and cleared cache... I was also able before in this release to do it sucessfully. Any suggestions? I am lost with out the camera.. Boooo hoooo.

Just to cover some basics (and bump the thread) Have you tried making sure all the settings are typical? Hig res shots, no compression. whatever else you typically have. Maybe try toggeling silent snapshot to disk.

For wht it's worth, I have noticed the when I refresh the snapshot it takes it's sweet time in grabbing the new version. Saving to disk is a snap. But as you can tell, I use the snapshot window most of the time. I can not remember the last time I used the hot key so i can't say if it was with this version of the RC or not.

I have no answer, just want to complain along with you. I've been having the same exact problem for a while now.

It is the hotkey... I just tested it as I never use the snapshot window to save to disk. It works that way though. Ugghh that will take forever, lol.

Late Tuesday evening they started rolling out the latest server release. It is possible this is related??? Maybe go search JIRA and/or open a Support ticket. I alway use snap to disk, but have not taken a pic since early Tuesday evening, before the server updates started. I will give it a try this evening using all of the different client versions that I have.

I use Ctrl ' and it does it occassionally, one moment your taking a pic and the next your staring at your desk top. It does however save the pic to file which is one good thing I guess. I've had the problem for a couple of months now, it would be nice to figure out what's causing it.

Haven't got an answer either, but I have a completely weird, vaguely related problem. Wonder if it's something to do with the server update?

I always save snapshots to disk and I take tons of them.

In the last couple of days, all my snapshots have been blank, empty documents!!!!!!!

I spaced off trying all the different viewers, but I did use my normal one which is Nicholaz BE-w (based on LL 1.18.5.3) and the ctrl-` shortcut still worked fine for me.

I does seem that for the past few weeks, the more pics I'm taking and/or the more camming around I am doing, makes me crash more.

Mine works fine on the new RC, he says, smugly, at a resolution of 3000 x 2200 or whatever it is.
