Up until now when I would take pics for my vendors I would use sunrise and sunset to get the bright light on the front and back of my av. That maybe wasnt the best way to do it but worked for me. But now with this new windlight sunrise and sunset doesnt give me that light and has been meantioned is pretty red. And noon its over the top.

I vaguely remember useing mouselook and moveing the sun to a position a few years ago and it would stay there but not sure if that will work or really how I did that either and it stopped staying in one place is why I stopped and went to the sunrise and sunset way.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get the light to brighten the front and back of me when I'm modeling for my vendor pics?

Not sure if it would do the same but I made a back drop out of a hollow and path cut cube and made the inside surface a light source.

Under the World menu, check out the Environment Settings option and choose Environment Editor. You can easily change the time of day there are pick form lots of preset lighting conditions. You can also hit the Advanced Sky button there and get full control over all of the available lighting options. You can also make your own presets if you find something that works well for your product shots.

Or, turn off all the shader checkboxes and be back to the pre-windlight lighting.
