Hi all,
I have found devices to make oneself invisible, but what about a couple? Can two people be invisible for privacy and still see each other? I'm sure I'm asking for way too much.
Thanks

No.
As I understand it, the invisiprim script just changes the order that things are drawn and is a client side effect. So being invisible will make you invisible to everyone, including yourself. _____________________

Darn it, I was afraid of that. What about a large box big enough for two? Or can people still slide in with cam view?

If they know the box is there, yes, they can cam in.

Somewhere recently I saw an item called a 'privacy bracelet'. You wear it, then click on it to produce a big sort of rock thing that two people can hide inside.

No privacy bracelet or box, rock, sphere, cloud, or whatever you want to call it will stop people from being able to cam in though.

If you use a privacy sphere, just take it to a very low traffic area with building allowed and rezz it high up in the sky. Check the map and find an empty or virtually empty sim.
Then use the mini map to monitor your 'privacy'. Or get yourself the free (well, L$1) version of Mystitool. If you switch on the avi sensor it shows everyone within 96 metres. _____________________

Purchase your own private island sim, set it to "not public", and place just yourself and your friend on the access list. No one else in all of SL will be able to enter or watch what you do.
Costs $1650 USD up front plus $295 USD per month to keep it, so the price is a tad steep for the average couple. ![]() But seriously, that is the ONLY way to actually get complete privacy for two people in SL. _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

And if you want to rent a skybox, 600m up where the "average" user wouldn't find you, give me a yell...lol

Or you can get used to the fact that SL is not inherently privacy-friendly, and become a happy exhibitionist.
What the heck are you concerned about hiding, anyway? You're both cartoon characters, fer gossake! Just don't discuss RL details like your real names, addresses, or phone numbers in open chat. And the next time somebody cams in on you...invite them to join the party. I mean, the other day I ran across an orgy poseball set for eight avatars, I think it was. How are you going to get the most use out of that, unless you either 1) have a BIG Friends list, or 2) invite some random strangers to play? That's my take on it today. Tomorrow you might find me huddling in a cave on the bottom of the seafloor in the dark. I'm feeling bipolar. ![]() _____________________

No privacy bracelet or box, rock, sphere, cloud, or whatever you want to call it will stop people from being able to cam in though. Can you actually cam into something with no openings at all? I know you can easily GET in, but can you CAM in? |

Can you actually cam into something with no openings at all? I know you can easily GET in, but can you CAM in? Yes, you can. But skyboxes really help. My hubby and I each have one at 700 M, and I have only seen someone around there once in the past 2 months since I bought it. And he was someone just flying by. There are other things around us in the sky, but with a 4608 parcel for the skybox, they're not very close. I think it's about as private it can possibly be on SL (which really isn't very private....lol). _____________________
