Has anyone noticed that LL is now supporting Vista? Windows System Requirements
Operating System: 2000, XP, or Vista Were there changes made in SL that made this possible, or did they just decide "eh, enough people are running it, so we'll call it good"? /me wonders if she needs to reinstall on one computer.

A few people, myself included, have found that the latest client is not compatible with the latest updates to Vista. Odd, because the client has been compatible with Vista since the day Vista came out; I've been using it successfully for months until recently when it just stopped working.

So, if no updates have been made to the computer with Vista on it and SL is running fine, I should probably make sure that no updates get made to Vista?

The only major update I have had was a security update. Since then, SL mysteriously won't even launch. Someone I spoke to on the Tech forum said they submitted a ticket two weeks ago but has heard nothing back.

I'm not sure when it became official, but SL's been Vista compatible for at least 8 months now. Around he end of March, ATI got around to fixing their drivers so SL would run under Vista with their cards. nVidia users have been able to run SL under Vista since about February or so. My laptop, which is about 5 months old and has Vista on it, has been running SL VERY well since the day it arrived.
That said, Vista sucks donkey balls. Stick with XP as long as you possibly can.

Well I took the plunge yesterday and got a new computer with Vista... I cannot believe how different the SL experience is for me now. I'm actually able to go places and have seen particles and water flowing in real time for the first time. I'm not that familiar with the mechanics of it all but I'm not complaining ...
