Question about the new mainland sims

Last week, another poster noted that there were a number of new sims on the north continent tagged to come up for auction.

If one wants to bid on one of them, where should she look? Will they come up in the Land Auction section of the website? I don't think I've ever seen a full sim being auctioned there, at least since they went to the new system.

Would their availability be announced anywhere else?

They will be in the $US section of the auction pages. None have come to auction yet.

I just noticed that the L$ Land Auctions page has a ton of listings. But these don't show up on the auction homepage. There was also no land coming up when you click any of the auction alert buttons. This led me to mistakenly think there was no land at all up for auction when there actually is a bunch.

Crazy that a person has to find the right link on their own on the auction page to see any land that's for sale.

When they get sent to the auction block, they'll just show up in the US$ Auctions page.

Aside from going there and looking, I don't think there's any way to tell when things get added/removed from the auction pages, though.

That would be a nice feature. Maybe an RSS feed or something for parcel additions/removals..

I think LL needs to make that info available ahead of time. Just like the reclaimed land they are selling. You want some on a certain region and have no idea when it will be listed.

You used to be able to gauge when they were coming. Now, they just name them and let them sit. Jack Linden did say he would be more forthcoming with blog posts, but just like everything else with LL, there was no followthrough.

Too bad they the Lindens don't put up a sign that says "FOR SALE - AUCTION IN PROGRESS".

So many times you see the abandoned land, but its hard to catch that particular land unless your watching every single day. The Lindens should have a state-of-the-art for sale sign.

Hmmm.... Lindens, and state-of-the-art in the same sentence..... There's a joke in there somewhere... ;)
