I didn't come to SL to make money but it seems that with the help of some awesome friends I am pulling in some extra cash that might be able to buy me groceries IRL but the problem is I dont know how to use the Sell Lindens options as well as connect it to my PayPal account. If anyone knows a way that I can get out my Lindens without having to sign up for a premium account please share.. These will really help my college expenses

Waiting for LindeX to credit your paypal can be frustrating. They seem to just randomly decide to process payments to paypal and I got tired of literally waiting a week or more sometimes for it to even make it to my paypal acct. I converted over to cashing out on SLexchange, where I simply type my email address that is associated with my paypal account, and they instantaneously credit my paypal account.
I won't get into the LindeX stuff because I don't use it anymore and I am rusty so maybe someone else can provide that...
As far as SLX instructions, I'll take a stab...
1) Go to an SLX terminal (there are several on the sim called Exchange - which is their HQ - you can find that sim in search on the world map) and type "signup youremailaddress@whatever. com" without the quotes. If you use a yahoo email be prepared for a delay, gmail works better. Check your email. Follow the instructions to complete signing up for your SLX account.
2) Have a browser open to the SLX website with your account logged in (the password was given to you in the email they sent you), then right click an SLX terminal in-world and what I usually do is choose the pay option and pay it 1L$ to make sure that transactions are working properly, because some days they are delayed or don't work at all. I just reload my web browser page to make sure that I am now showing a balance of 1L$ in my SLX acct. If it works, then I deposit the rest of my money.
3) Now your L$ should be in your SLX account and displayed in the upper left on any of their pages. On the SLX website, click on the currency exchange button near the top of the page. Once on that page you can click the sell L$ link and then enter the amount of L$ you wish to sell and whether you want to sell them at the current best price or else you can specify a price. I usually specify a price .1L$ higher than the best rate (from a buyer's point of view) because I am impatient and don't like to wait for my L$ to sell. For example, if you look to the right on that sell page, you will see the top 5 best prices highlighted in a yellow box (again, from a buyer's POV - more L$ per US$ - so if the best rate is 279.5, I would sell my L$ at 279.6L$ per US$, within certain limits, of course. If the going rate is into the upper 280s, I will usually wait a day to sell, until the market has settled a bit.)
Of course, if you are more patient than myself, you can place your L$ up for a better deal (from seller's POV) and wait it out.
4) Now you can just click on "My Orders" and follow your L$ as they sell, or go play SL or sleep or something! Assuming all went well, when you come back to your SLX acct. it should now show US$ for your balance instead of L$. On the SLX sell currency page, click the "Withdraw USD" (there is also a link for this next to your acct. balance in the upper left). Now you should be prompted for your paypal email address. Enter it and submit (there is a fee of 1 US$). Check your paypal account, you should have money.
Be aware, SLX is a third party site, is run by SL residents, and Linden Lab is not in any way affiliated with them or responsible for them. That said, I have been using SLX going on 2 years now, and never had so much as a hiccup.
