Welcome to the forums ![]() You understand rightly when you say non-transferable items can't be passed along - not even to an alt. As for having both your main and alt on at the same time, here's a link to a video on how to run multiple viewers. http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/01/10/tip-of-the-week-17-how-to-run-multiple-viewers-at-the-same-time/ _____________________

You just need to search for your other avatar using the people search and then drag items from your inventory to their profile window. Then you'll get a blue window that says 'so and so is offline inventory saved'. Then you can log off and log in your other avatar and you will receive everything. You can pay your alt that way too.

Just open the profile of your alt by searching for them in people search (I friend my alts to make this easier in the future). After you have the profile open simply drag the folder or item right to the profile. That will transfer them easily. ![]() _____________________

Hey there,
You do not need to have them both logged in. Just look up your alts profile in search and there will be a inventory drop box in the profile. If they are no transfer you cannot transfer them. You can run multiple Second Life accounts from the same computer by adding -multiple to the target location of the Second Life© shortcut. This is done on windows XP / Vista by right clicking the Second Life shortcut and selecting property's, Properties will then open and you can add the -multiple to the end of the target. Example (Changes from computer to computer) "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -set SystemLanguage en-us -multiple Peace, ~Soma _____________________

Like Isabeau said, it's possible to run two viewers at once, but it takes enough memory (a minimum of 2GB) and an upper middle to high end computer ( a single core > 3.2GHz, a dual core > 2.8GHz, a quad core > 2.4GHz) and graphics card (anything made in the last 1.5 years with > 256MB RAM) to do it. Even then, you can expect your response times to be not quite acceptable depending on how busy the sim is that your on. (Btw, for those that don't know math symbols, the ">" above means "greater than". Also, the above numbers are only rough approximations. Your mileage may vary...) Have a good one! ![]() _____________________

you CAN transfer (transferrable) items while your alt is offline.. but *I* wouldn't trust that.
I;'ve seen offline transfers simply vanish. It really is best if you and your alt can be online at the same time. I've also had some experiences with SLeeK, where inventory offers were simply ignored. So if you can, run 2 official clients. I HIGHLY SUGGEST dialing all your graphics settings to absolute minimum before doing so, however. _____________________
