Has anyone else massive problems with TPs or when crossing sim borders? It takes ages for me to teleport and cross a sim border for a couple of days - when it works at all. Evenmore I often get messages that my request couldn't be fulfilled and I should try again in a couple of minutes, but the TPs was successful anyway.
In the release notes of the new server version 1.27 LL says something about throttled TPs. Could that be the cause of the problem?

I'm seeing very slow TP's but I haven't had one fail yet.

Evenmore I often get messages that my request couldn't be fulfilled and I should try again in a couple of minutes, but the TPs was successful anyway. Two things come to mind. First, try it again with *no* attachments: no HUDS, no hair, no shoes, nothing. If that improves things, then I'd start trying to figure out which attachments contribute to the problem. (More than likely it will be something scripted; something that's been recompiled to Mono could do it; but just a lot of prims could do it, too.) If there's no improvement with all attachments removed, then I'd suspect a network problem, which could be an issue with the ISP, or a local matter that may be improved by power-cycling every bit of network gear from the client machine to the ISP's wall jack.

Ok, ISP and network stuff is not causing it. But I think I found out what's causing this extrem lag: I bought new boots a few days ago and they take horribly long to attach/detach. Even when I already have worn them just a second before they need between 10 and 15 seconds to load. Although they aren't heavy prim loaded like other boots I have, the size, position and rotation are set via script (4 scripts in particular for the foot and lower leg attachments). And when I take them off, teleports seem to work again like they always worked for me.
Could it be that during transfer to another region, the server of the new sim needs to execute the resize of the boots, too, and that this is causing this extreme slow transfer?

When ever you have resize scripts, it is always a good idea after sizing to delete the scripts. Most of the resizers have a Delete button. That will lower your script load greatly.

Not exactly, but close. The scripts don't actually perform the resize again, but they do have to get loaded into the new sim's memory and get scheduled for execution in preparation for any event they may need to process (an event such as the owner touching the attachment to start resizing, for example). Because of the way resize scripts work, there's (almost always) a separate script in each prim. It doesn't actually have to work like that, but it's by far the easiest and most general way to script it. So attachments with unremovable resize scripts are to be avoided--they simply should not be worn (nor sold).

"Teleports / Border crosssings borked?"
Would be alot more easier and a whole lot more correct to say Second Life borked.
While adding:
Other upcoming virtual worlds- seriously welcomed.
