http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/8367957.stm[url]Seems like the media is eager to pronounce the demise of SL. Based on my analysis, SL or SL like worlds (3D virtual environments) will continue to grow and be an integral part of humanity's future.

Why?

First off, the capacity of computers will continue to grow, which will mean even more realistic environments and greater 3D possibilities. Artificial intelligence will become increasingly important in the economy and the best place to develop AI is in an artificial environment where it can interact in real time with lots of people in different social settings.

But most importantly, SL is the forerunner for a Matrix like existence in the future, where we will be able to live in different planes of reality. Why do you think it is called Linden LAB and RESEARCH?
