I would like to have a copy of all the photos in my inventory's Photo Album on my own computer, so that I can preserve my memories of my Second Life in case Linden Labs goes away, and so that I can catalogue and publish them more easily.
It there a tool that will allow me to bulk download my Photo Album textures?
(By the way, Metabolt is not suitable since it is Windows only. I am on a Mac. However, I do understand how to run libomv's TestClient if there's a way via that.)

Open each photo individually -- you will need full perms on any that were given to you. Under the File menu is a "save texture as...." option. That is save it as a ".tga" file and you will then need to use an application to convert them to bmp/jpg/whatever. You can find freebie apps on the web if you do not have one.
ETA: For any that you do not own and do not have full perms on, you can open them and stretch them to fill your screen and then take a screen shot, saving that to your hard drive. Note -- for ethical reasons, I have only used this approach for a few photos given to me by people that are no longer in SL.

In thinking about this, I am glad that I have always saved all pictures to my hard drive and then uploaded the ones that I wanted inworld.
