logged into SL after work today, to notice a white band down the left edge of the viewing area, about 3mm in from the edge, looking almost like a sunlight type reflection you might see when looking towards the sun through a camera. The banding was only within the actual viewing area of SL, and was cut off by overlaying windows like chat screen etc. The problem was not replicated in any other computer use, all standard windows applications etc appeared fine. Thinking it might be an SL 'maintenance' issue, ie it will disappear later on, I paid little attention, but checked out my settings just in case. They were all fine, and clear cache made no difference, as did rebooting of the computer.
Just on a whim, I tried changing resolution, from 1440x900 to 1360x768, and the problem disappeared. Reverting back to 1440x900 the problem did not return.

Graphics card Nvidia GEForce 7600GT rolled back to driver 1.75

Does anyone know, is this another issue with the nvidia cards and drivers, or is this a rogue problem? Is my card getting tired? In hindsight, I wish I had taken a screenshot, but we are all wise in hindsight haha.

yes those jira links are the issue I was seeing. I guess that it is being dealt with, in some form since it is now highlighted? In my case, tweaking the screen resolution using the nvidia graphics utility (in the system tray) cleared it so it was not a big problem, more a surreal curiosity since I had never seen anything like that before.

Thanks for those references ...
