Same excrement, different day. Any ETA on a fix for group IM chat ? From anyting I can gather, group chat takes a pretty huge hit on the database -- and the bigger the group, the more errors (chat lag, failures) you get. _____________________

Hmm, I'm not sure why you're so upset group chat doesn't always work. Historically speaking, most things don't always work 100% of the time. You either use something else, or you can complain.
When group IM doesn't work, I just send a notice. Seems to work out okay. _____________________

The problem with group chat is due to network congestion caused by overuse. The solution is to impose monthly group maintenance fees and limit the number of group chats to no more than 1 per day with a maximum 10 minute duration. For those who need more flexible group chat communication, a special 'gabby' plan will be offered that allows one to chat anytime on a pay per chat basis, but still subject to oversight and monitoring. While there are no plans to increase network bandwidth or other technical upgrades, the increased fees and time limits will deter those who attempt to abuse the group chat function. Enjoy your SL - it's your world, but we own your wallet.
