A problem has developed today. I am running 1.19.1 (4) and all day I keep disconnecting from SL. I only realise that I'm not connected when I go to walk or communicate. I have disconnected about 30 times in a few hours. I have cleared cachet and cannot work out why this is happening all of a sudden. Should I try to download this version again? If so, could someone provide a link to that version. I would be so grateful. Any information you may be able to share would be wonderful.

I don't think a re-installation will solve your problem. This kind of crash seems to be a connection problem. Check that your internet connection is working properly.

I used to get disconnected all of the time when I bought a new wireless router. Even though I was still running hard wires through the router and into the main computer,. (the wireless router was for a laptop), I was getting disconnected, and it ended up being the firewall settings in the router.

Is only SL disconnecting or your net connection? Next time it happens, check to see if you can still access the net.
I have a similar problem, which turned out to be due to a little furry creature nibbling on my RL cabling.

Nothing real useful to add here except yesterday, everytime I TP'ed to one particular spot I would lose my web connection. No where else - just that one place and unfortunately, is where my main store is- haven't tried it yet today.

My DSL would disconnect and reconnect itself every minute or so. The DSL service could not explain it except to say I was too far from the central node. They inspected my cables indoors and out to no avail. While surfing the web this isn't a problem. Downloads worked fine because the connection stayed locked on for the duration. For some reason while using SL the DSL would interrupt the signal ever few minutes. I submitted tickets to SL and spent loads of money upgrading my video card and memory only to discover it was the DSL service. "CX" (switched to cable)

I had a similar problem long ago with an old Belkin router. It didnt like SL at all and would disconnect after 10-20 minutes. Everything else worked fine, but not SL. So- I tossed that router, got a different one, and havent had a problem since.
