heyas;
so i went through the marketplace help whatever and posted on the marketplace forum blog mess thing. and i go back to check my post, and i get 'not authorized.' yes, i'm logged in. so... since i'm not authorized to see a post i posted.... i will ask HERE, where you may not be official, but at least i can get some answer!
1: WHEN are the new charges for the xstreet listings going to go into effect? the 99/mo for freebies the 10/mo for anything else charges. i've read all over the blog and it only says 60-90 days. from whatever day they decide to count from, i guess, because it doesn't really SAY anywhere.
2: probably nobody knows this, but i'll ask anyway.... is LL going to send an email to xstreet merchants this time and TELL THEM when the new charges are going to be added?
3: actually, since this isn't official LL, i guess i can ask this now. what's "the other site" everyone is moving to? i looked at all the other sites about 2 months ago, none of them had a decent search engine.
honestly, if i didnt have a slew of cheapie impulse buy novelty avatars that did more traffic on the site than in world, i'd just give up this web listing nonsense altogether. cripes, wasnt hippo going to partner with onrez and make the hippovend in-world vendors integrate into the web page listings? (actually, didnt the onrez vendors already do that?) way to buy out something and bury it and KILL MY CHANCES OF MAKING MY LIFE EASIER, thank's SOOOOooooo much!!!
::sigh::

You are looking for slapt.me as one of the other sites though there are some more-
If you do sign up with them, you have the added benefit of having an inworld group with merchant notices ability of one per week. They also have profit sharing if you have a business partner. Be sure to tell your groups about it, once you sign up and place a join thing in yor store - there are many that have never heard of slapt. Even if you stay with XStreet, more exposure the better for your goods.
Myself, I am still listing with XStreet since LL hawks it at least it gets seen. Whether I stay after the new fees go into effect will be decided by my profit/loss once I invest a little time in figuring out traffic and such.

I'm going off of XStreet when the time for the fees come. I see no need to be on a place where LL can't even get their story straight on why the fees are being charged in the first place.
Since I don't know the answer to number 1 or 2, I'll answer 3.
Slapt, Apez, and Meta-Life are the ones I'm on. And yes, I realize that even posting HERE could get me banned, but at this point, not caring seems to be the name of the game as far as LL is concerned.
