I just tried the new RC and noticed the Linden trees no longer sway. This is superb.I popped over to Nautilus yesterday and the large Linden trees were swaying like wild things and it gave me motion sickness. Now I can explore in peace.

My palm trees and shade trees sway- on purpose. Maybe I should sell sea-sick meds with them?

Setting the "RenderAnimateTrees" debug setting to True turns the wind motion back on within the viewer. It's off by default in 1.23 supposedly to improve rendering speed; not sure how much it actually helps, though.
