I looked in the Knowledge Base, but only saw instructions for adding more prims to a smaller parcel. We want to divide a HS region and put fewer prims on larger areas.
Can someone point me to instructions, or explain how I can do this? Thanks!

you can't when you subdivide land, the prim allotment is a % of the overall sim prims, based on the size of the plot

What are you planning to do? I need a better idea of what you want, there are ways and means of allocating prims via groups but you can't make one parcel have a different prim count in the about land than other parcels on your island, by that I mean you won't be able to have one 4096M parcel that shows in about land as supporting 937 prims and another 837 prims.

Thanks for the replies... I'm trying to figure out how to rent 1/4 or 1/8 sim with 937 allotted prims. I've seen and rented other parcels that did it but can't figure out how. It's Homestead sim, if that makes a difference.

From: Jupiter Schmooz Thanks for the replies... I'm trying to figure out how to rent 1/4 or 1/8 sim with 937 allotted prims. I've seen and rented other parcels that did it but can't figure out how. It's Homestead sim, if that makes a difference. Simple math. A homestead sim only has 3750 prims available in it. Divide it into 4 equal-size parcels, and each gets 937 prims. Nothing special required. Divide it into 8 equal size portions, set the object bonus to 2x, and the sim will tell each user that they have 937 prims to play with. But as soon as the total in the sim hits 3750, everyone runs out. So if you want the smaller parcels, then only rent 4 of the 1/8 sim parcels, and put NOTHING in the other half the sim but water, and each of the 4 rentable 1/8 sim parcel can use 937 prims. The sim owner or a person with Estate Manager rights can change the object bonus. But this does not magically create more or fewer prims. It just changes the threshold where a parcel tells the parcel owner that they have used all they are allocated, and can't place more prims. Technically you can set an object bonus for a sim to a value less than 1.0, forcing all users to have even fewer prims than normal on a parcel. But it makes no sense to do this, as no one in the sim could use the extra prims. For example, an object bonus of 0.5 would make half the prim allocation for the sim unusable by anyone, and cut each parcel's allocation in half.
