firstly, I apologize, I know this topic has been covered here and quite recently I remember a thread about it (I didn't read it, just saw the title)...but I have been messing in search and just plain searching for like 20 minutes and whether it is me or my broken glasses...I can't find it. There is a piece of land that I am interested in that Lindens own but it is not for sale (the land description says 'home' and it has banlines lol). I'm pretty sure it is abandoned or reclaimed land that hasn't gone up for auction yet. My question...how do I either buy this land or find out when it will go up for auction? I appreciate the help

Best advice I can give: Contact a Linden and ask about it. Sometimes they'll know when it's going to go on the block, or if you're really lucky they may even pull some strings to make it available early.

Turn on View -> Land Owners.
If the land turns purple, it's already queued to be auctioned, though there's not really any way to tell when it will actually show up at the land store.
If the land turns red, do a support ticket and ask that the land settings be fixed up (no ban lines, etc) and that they send it to auction. They're pretty good about taking care of stuff like that but, again, you'll just have to keep an eye on the land store to see when it shows up there.
edit: actually, regardless of what color it turns, I'd do a support ticket anyway and ask them to turn off the ban lines and stuff. If it's red, also ask them to send it to auction.

If you happen to own land on 3 sides of it, and the plot is at least a 512 plot size, you can put in a request to buy it.
Otherwise you will have to wait for it to go to auction and bid on it and hope to win.
I agree with the suggestions to put in a support ticket, especially about the ban lines
you may or may not get an answer about when it goes for auction, they always told me to just keep an eye on it, cuz they themselves did not know when it would go up for auction.

Put in a support ticket anyway, and watch the auctions like a hawk. That's what we've been doing when we see abandoned land in Noonkkot.

From: Meade Paravane I think that's "no more than a 512" instead of "at least a 512". Thinks you're right, I've purchased 16 and 32's from them.
