Questions About Camping

Hi guys & gals,

I have a few questions about camping. Some of them i think i may already know the answers to, but i want to be sure. Any helpfull responses will be much appreciated.

1: If i have camping seat, do i pay the campers from my own L$

2: Does having campers increase the traffic to my area (in land details)

3: If i do pay the campers from my own L$, is it done automatically, or do i have to pay them manually.

4: My area has a low visitor count, is it worth my while & L$ to hire campers.

5: If i were to buy a camping seat, do the scripts allow you to alter the pay amount.

2 Depends, if all you care about are the campers then yes, otherwise, many people that find a place with campers just leave.

3 Automatic

4 Maybe/maybe not. Read the sticky about getting found in search. That would be far more beneficial. (IMHO)

1. The L$ does come from your own supply. There is no magic L$ fairy, sorry.

2. Yes, campers do increase the traffic, but at the cost of that being one less avatar that can enter your sim.

3. Payout is automatic.

4. Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are selling an item, you might want to consider a lucky chair instead.

5. I think they should, yes.

Keep in mind that traffic is no longer the sole way of determining the search order and that some people do boycott the places that have a large number of campers. Chances are, you won't be attracting the users, but more like camping bots.

If you are a designer of some sort and want to sell items, consider a lucky chair instead. It's a win/win, with the user getting a free sample and you getting the traffic.
