OnRez/SLex good examples of integration?

So I jes finished my Bay City store, an one of the difficulties I faced was that even with double prims, I had to axe an item or two from my store in the interest of prim saving. My thought was to put the extras in a vendor of some nature, then I began to think of putting my stuff on OnRez of SLExchange.

This got me thinking - can I somehow use some form of vendor/inworld catalog from these that focuses on my goods in much the same was as a vendor? Are any of these devices modifyable, in case I wanted something more fitting to the overall theme of my store? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

OnRez provides a free vendor, which is fully modifiable (on a prim basis at least). As far as I am aware, SLX has nothing like that.

Not for OnRez/SLex (that I know of), but I believe SecondServer.net and Apez.biz do this.

HippoVend essentially is the same thing too, but without the web-based shop.

Yep, just onrez for now. SLX is working with Hippo on one, but it's not out yet.

Hmn... this sounds like my best option, then. Thankoo!

Hi Mari, I went to your store at the weekend and loved having a look around. However I would really like to be able to buy the popiscle freezer - is that possible?

OK, now I've got to go back and try to break stuff.

The OnRez vendors are actually pretty good, but the main problem with OnRez over SLX is that they don't allow redundant server boxes. That is; if you have two boxes with exactly the same contents, the web-site won't recognise this, so if the region of one of them is in goes down you have no back up, which is a bit annoying.

Meanwhile for SLX I have like 3 boxes dotted around just in case. But then I have to use my own vendor system on top of this to get stuff in-world.

The freezer itself is not (currently) for sale. i will talk to Robin Sonourner about that (those are hers), and I'm pretty sure she'd part with one. The individual boxed pops inside are for sale now, after a brief period of time when she hadn't set the for sale on 'em.

Glad you liked my little store. I've been playing with the audio and video the last day or two, settin those up on the parcel.

As most of you know I am now delving into sales as well and have three stores scattered about. Today a friend suggested a build my own on my land also so I could include it in search - can y'all tell me about the vendor concept? What it is generally and how one would set it up? I am listed with OnRez even now. Thanks.
