Since last viewer was launched my screen fills with triangles or clouds when rezzing and editing. Never happened before and changing settings doesn´t help. When using Onrez viewer there is no problem so I don't think it's my pc fault. Would appreciate some advice, thanks.

Advanced->Show Updates. They really need to stick a confirmation dialog on that or something, it's a plague.

Let me guess. You have an ATI card?
If that is it, either turn off VBO in graphics preferences. Or adjust you settings one by one till it no longer happens. Best solution is turn off VBO. |

Thnx for ur answer. I disabled VBO and modified settings but nothing changed. You are right, my card is ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 700. What I find strange is that i have no problems using the Onrez viewer and didn't have them neither with the previous SL viewers.

OnRez will work fine as it isn't a Windlight viewer. The triangle bug only happens in Windlight.
There is a JIRA issue here http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3258?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel that was raised for this issue. Almost at the bottom of the page you will see this bit that may help [This was traced to a problem with ATI's drivers - LL is working with them towards a solution. While they're fixing this, you can try turning VBO off, then set your graphics settings to LOW and adjust upwards from there. It won't be as fast as it should be, but it'll be usable until this gets fixed. (To access your settings before sign-in, go to Edit -> Preferences.) ] Until they make the OnRez (or Nicholaz) viewer unusable I would stick with that. |

I have an ATI VisionTek Radeon x1300 and get the triangles only rarely, like when I've been editing for a long time. And to fix them all I have to do is reduce graphics settings and them bump 'em back up.
Have you checked to see if a more up to date driver is available? And/or, I seem to recall reading here that sometimes rolling back to a previous driver helps. |

Thnx again for ur help; I checked the page u put and tried the tips but nothing changed. I noticed that the triangles on that page are not exactly like mine. I thought of sending u a snapshot with the ones I see but don't want to disturb you. My triangles seem to grow and move away from the rezzed or edited object. Another variation is like a cloud that covers the place where an object is attached or dettached to or from the avatar. I'm afraid that I will have to stick to Onrez and if they happen to make it unusable then, with great regret, I will have to quit SL.
