OK, I need a little help guys. I've rented a house, and the house came with a radio that streams music to the parcel. The radio has some 113 channels....but, wouldn't you believe it, not ONE of them is a Blues channel - not a single one! Sure, I can get by on classic rock, as a lot of it is blues influenced. But I want me some B.B.! Or some Muddy! There's nothing like relaxing on my big terrace roof, practicing my building skills under the watchful eye of Howling Wolf or Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Now, ALLEGEDLY one can, if so inclined, set the radio to play a stream not on its internal list - I've got the instructions, and it's fairly easy. The problem I'm left with is, how on earth do I go about finding a Blues stream? Doing an internet search using the most intuitive terms proves fruitless. Can anybody suggest a decent stream? Even better, does anyone have some kind of list of working streams I could use as a reference? I'm looking for a straight blues channel - not "Blues AND something else" or "something else AND Blues". Just Blues! Unless of course you've got a list, in which case I'll take a look at the whole thing.
Thanks, guys.

They bring up decent stations for listening via a web browser, but none of them seems to work when I give the URL to the radio (some of them, I can't even seem to find the exact stream URL at all).
Thanks anyways, though.

From: Dakota Tebaldi They bring up decent stations for listening via a web browser, but none of them seems to work when I give the URL to the radio (some of them, I can't even seem to find the exact stream URL at all). From Shoutcast, click the "Tune In" button (yellow) to the left of the stream name, and it should open the stream in your media player. If you don't have Winamp installed - get it, it's free and very useful to have anyway. If you're using Winamp, once the stream is playing, Alt 3 brings up the 'about stream' box, simply copy the numerical value of that stream - http://208.53.158.109:11610 is one Blues stream I found, you need it all - and then paste into SL's media tab. That should work - you may need to stop/restart the stream in SL for it to work. Any "MP3" stream should work - avoid AAC+ because that doesn't work in SL. I tend to pick the lowest bandwidth (usually 24k)v of any particular station because the less bandwidth the radio takes, the more SL has to use. But also be aware that some stations only have room for 10 listeners so you may need to go up to 48k or 64k to get a high enough simultaneous users without the risk of maxing out the stream so you or your visitors can't hear it.
