Hello Forum Gurus,

Sorry to bother you folks for this simple question, but I couldn't find a clear answer on the SL web site on this. Suppose I have some mainland property, say 4096m2, and I buy another mainland sim for a total of 65536 + 4096 m2. What would be the tier be? Is it whatever tier I'm paying now plus an additional $195 for the extra sim? How does the tier structure go when you go above an entire (mainland) region? Will the tier discount structure "restart" at $5 for 512m2, $8 for 1024m2, etc. after the 195 for the region?

Thanks for the info!

additional tier above 65,536 is 1/2 tier increments of 97.50usd. Your best bet is to GROUP the land and that will give you an additional 10% tier, more than enough for that extra 4096sqm. That only costs you L$100.

Thanks for the info! The 1/2 tier increment sounds a little steep! I actually have about 1/4 sim now so I guess I'll really have to think about taking on more tier. That will definitely kill me!

Yes. It goes up in 1/2 sim increments after the first sim's worth of tier.

You have a 10% extra margin of land if it is deeded to group(s).

If it's the case that you would be going just a little over the limit despite using group(s), why not create a Premium alt and have that account buy the extra land.
The alt gets 512 free of tier. Sign up for the annual fee and the Stipend plus the 'free' 512 tier almost pays for the account.

Several people offer their extra tier for rent, in variable amounts... that usually a good alternative for short-term.
