After failure to find anyplace like what I'm looking for via in-world searches, I am here to ask if anyone knows of any RPs that are based on Space Stations instead of otherworld planets and things of similar nature?

There used to be a residential area on a space station that looked fairly convincing. I don't know about role play, but you were expected to at least look futuristic themed when visiting or living there. I considered renting a place, but never found another soul there, which might explain why I can't find it in search now. Maybe it's gone.
I have never found any SF or space themed areas in SL that weren't based on the same tired media mega hits, Trek, Star Wars, etc. And even those are deserted. Sometimes I think the entire grid is one big post-apocalyptic, last man alive, role play scenario -- and I'm the last man.
Sorry. I must be in gloom mode today. The better answer would be: There are not many. Maybe you should start one. In fact, you've given me an idea of what to do with my land. Instead of building a big sprawling skybox-hangout with no plan or purpose, I think I'll tear it all down and build a small space station, enclosed in a large box so I can paint the inside with stars and nebulae. 4608m may be too small for any serious role play though.

Nvx, a friend of mine, Oni Horan, runs Space Colony Necronom VI. It’s a space station RP area he has designed and built. I could type pages talking up the build and great people you run into their but I suggest you search for the station inworld and have a look for yourself.

While i dont sci-fi RP myself i do enjoy visiting spacestations and theres a full sim one called, Valqui Hyperport, in Barkley sim. From the about land tab description.... ---------------------------------------------- A full sim sized space station with public launch bays and promenade sci fi shopping futuristic vendors rooms & docking bays. ---------------------------------------------- hmm seems to have changed a little and might not be strict RP now, used to have to wear a visitor tag while there but might be worth a look and you can always contact the owner about using it for RP. Worth a look around no matter what. ....and no, i neither know the owners, nor am I in anyway associated with it, just remembered htis place from exploring a few months ago.  |
