So the holidays are now here. The big time we all have been waiting for through the dry spells of sales for a while now. I am just wondering if everyones sales have gone up like they hoped they would or if its still been up and down or not even changed. I know some people were waiting things out to see what teh holidays would bring along with snow. The snow is not exactly here yet at least not in my area but its getting damn cold! So I would think if there was going to be changes they would be taking place around now.

What is this "sale" you speak of?
Someone would need to want to buy my stuff first.

I did very well (for a new shop of random stuff) leading up to (and on) Thanksgiving. I"ve started the Christmas theme (with skating rink to use below the store), but my sales have dropped. Granted, Christmas is also a very saturated market, so I'm sure there are places people go to buy things for the holidays that they've gone to since their first holiday purchase (or for other items, say, birthdays, etc). I don't know how many people break out of their shopping routines, honestly. I'm just enjoying making the stuff and I have the land anyway, so... *shrug*. With luck I'll get some folks in but I'm not getting my hopes up. It *is* SL after all hehe

I have seen a slight increase. 6 days to go to my tier payment day and I have made as much for the month as I usually have on that day.
But it is still a lot less then I made last November.

I thought this was going to be a thread about seller's putting their things "on sale" for the holidays, lol.

The last week hasn't been great, I'm not sure if it's due to the problems SL has been experiencing or whether it's time to move my stores.

Land market: waaay up, at least in my case. More demand than I can handle, and more than ever before.

I've sold stuff for charity in the past, which made my whole creating addiction very very rewarding indeed. And I've sold outfits I've been wearing to people on the run so to speak because they liked them a lot. For me it's still about making things though. /me runs off to check out Rha and Tarina's profiles for picks to their stores

Seems to me that to the extent that people spend money on real world Christmas gifts and other Christmas expenses they might reduce their SL expenditures.
