Can anyone recommend a good male standing animation? My AO has one but it does not seem to do much of anything. The female ones shift and move but this one (from the Dari collar) just stands there with the arms at the sides. I believe it's configured OK and the collar's AO is on. Thanks!

If I were you, I'd go over to the Animations Warehouse, where probably 50 different animators have mini-shops; you can try out bunches of different styles and brands all at one place. If you find that you're in love with one particular designer, you can always head over to their main store. It's fairly lag-free and has a decent layout.

I'd agree with checking out Animation Warehouse as there lots of different vendors you can try out. I personally like Vista Animations and there is also Akeyo which has some interesting stands that move around quite a bit and sorta pace. Very well done but not really my thing as it kinda makes you look like a tweaker.

A methamphetamine addict. They tend to have lots of nervous tics and excess energy, among other more troublesome symptoms.

Ian, what were the names of the 5 items you sent me? Sorry! I know they're in my inventory somewhere but can't find them :-(

Hiya Jackie,

I couldn't remember which ones I sent so I renamed some
"Jackie# posename" and resent.

You can search them this way. Also their names will probably be the names of some of the first lot.

Got them...I also found the other ones a while ago. Thanks again!

I know exactly the one(s) you mean and the first time I saw someone using it, he was a big muscled guy with really tough looking clothes and I was kind of taken aback by how aggressive he looked. I was totally impressed by the effectiveness of the animation because it totally looked like he would haul off and punch someone who talked to him wrong.

For the OP, I use a Vista AO on my male alt and the standing poses are good. One of them has him check his watch, which looked dumb until I found a watch on the Make Him Over hunt. :p

Newbie question - in general can any of the animations purchased be loaded into the built in AO in a Dari collar? What key terms do I look for if I elect to buy an animation set but don't want to use the provided AO? Thanks.

Any animation can be loaded into an AO, as long as the AO is modifiable. Most standard animations actually do NOT come with a provided AO; you buy just the animation, then add it from your Inventory to the contents of your collar/AO/whatever. The animation looks like a little running guy in your Inventory, while the AO/collar is an actual object. (Note; when editing the collar, rez it on the ground and open its contents there. Then take the collar back into Inventory, and wear it from your Inventory. This is a much safer way than either editing the collar while you're wearing it, or trying to wear it from the ground.)

Thanks, Oryx. I've added animations to the collar several times and got the configurations notecard inside updated so that they are recognized. My main question is, are there different "standards" for animations, or will an animation run on a ZH AO as well as an open source AO without modification?

Or, is this a totally meaningless question? :-)

Going to go a little off topic here...OK, so I'm in a lousy mood for obvious reasons. I go in world and search on Medhue as suggested here. I land in the store. I spend the next 20 minutes wandering around the store looking for male standing animations/poses. Nothing! Squat! Zero! They have righting, sports, dancing etc but I swear to heaven that I could not find a single packaged set of standing animations!!!!

I hate shopping in world...I never find anything I'm looking for! I went on XSL and searched on Medhue and got even less!

What am I doing wrong? [/vent]

I also searched XSL for MDHU and got 7 pages...no standing animations that I could find.
