Hiyyas ! Sorry bout this I'm just having a moan !
Two problems that have been bugging me recently...
(1) Adding Friends
Anyone been having problems clicking on an avatar and adding them as a friend recently ? This has been happening to me a lot lately ( using the latest RC ) it doesn't work on the first click... usually takes 2 or 3 attempts on clicking and then sometimes after that they are added as a friend....
(2) Find a Friend on the Map
Sorry to go on with grumbles but another thing "Find Friend on Map" with someone who you have shared location privalidges with... but when i click on their profile and then click "Find on the Map" it shows my own location. I then have to repeat the whole process and then after repeating this process I can see my friends location.
My computer is top spec and brand new operating system Vista 32, 2.66mhz,with 4gig DDR2 Ram, Nvidea GeForce 9800GT and a 10mb Cable cable connection with unlimited bandwidth.
Im in the UK so I'm wondering if its a network issue or if others are experiencing similar problems? On top of this I am also experiencing repeated crashes that causes me to do a full reboot. I removed my router to see if that was the cause but it didn't make any difference.
I ran SL on an older computer using Windows XP using the same connection and never experienced the ammount of problems I have been having now. Granted it was on an old machine using a Nvidia 6600 card. I was laggy back then but never had to keep restarting Vista like I do now.

location USA
I do not know about the map thing as I do not map anyone on my list
as for the clicking for add friend, yeah I get that too, except not add friend (have not added a friend in forever) it happens to me when trying to eject/ban people, or trying to view profile
never had this problem before, been using RC for quite awhile now, this just started a few days ago

I've been having the problem with Find on Map not going to the friend's location for a long time. I'm also in the UK, and it definitely seems to me to be linked to network or packet loss issues. It sometimes takes 4 or 5 tries before it goes through properly, other times it works perfectly, if I start having problems with this, it's usually one of the first signs that SL generally is going to be bad for the day.

it's probably because it would be like tracking their connection..i would think it has to find them and that could take some time.. i never map or let myself be mapped anymore so i really don't know much about this anymore..it used to be that it was a default and you had to shut off map back when i started.. i hope they didn't bring it back as a default again..if so i need to be checking my friends list to see if people have the ability to be mapping me again..

I've had the "repeated right click needed" problem on avatars before, usually when trying to pull up their profile. All I can suggest is try clicking on their name tag instead.
As for the Find On Map problem, just click "Show Destination" in the Map, and it will slide right over to show you where your friend is.
