My favourite haiku, inspired by good times in SL, albeit from two years ago:

- - - -
Tuscan blossoms sleep
Blooming with glory and Thou
... An eternity.
- - - -

Is there a haiku in you, inspired by SL?

Not my forte- but I try:

Silver frosts shimmer
Souls touch across the distance
Time stands still tonight

implacable bride
raining, battering bobtail
hissing, strongly, coy

Feeling anguish forever

Moments like these lost
As tears in the summer rain
Melt upon my skin

This is really in keeping with the haiku spirit since traditionally it shd have a hint of nature in it- then what season u choose to display gives it the tone as of light or sadness.

I did a number of haiku inspired by Second Life...

It was unforseen
We cannot connect you now
Try again later

You have been logged out
All your IMs can be read
But you are not there

Why does my prim drift?
Lag can be a harsh mistress
And it is Sunday

Despite best efforts
You can not log in right now
The poor hamster died

No water ripples
My computer is too slow
Shaders are all off

In the casino
The Gorean ageplayer
closed their bank account

I have ten Lindens
Twenty-one hours in a chair
I play "Second Life"

I has a prim kitty
She once made me a cookie
But she ated it.

LOL!

Desert heat brings sleep
Summer rocks break into sand
Desert night sparks bright

You are right. It is time.

The final haiku from me, with hope for peace for all possible futures:

Morning emptiness
Herald a New Peace for all!
Bright Future from Dawn

I think it would be fun to start responding to other threads in haiku, for example:

You're leaving SL
Full of theives, cheats and liars
Can I have your stuff?

Look at me closely
In a passionate embrace,
My hair disappears.
