Look at any mainland 512's lately?

After following some of the threads below about various 16m2's, I decided to go land shopping. I have an extra 512 of tier so what the heck.

Exhausted and unhappy to report that it would appear to be impossible to purchase a 512 on the mainland that is not somehow compromised. BTW, lots of 32m2's out there also with some of the ugliest spins. I noticed lots of particle streamers in use also.

I was quite surprised to find the hole in the middle of the parcel trick on land being sold by a well known baroness who posts here from time to time. Bet she bought it for resale without looking it over very carefully.

Christ the mainland is a wreck. I have a nice parcel on Pruetti, and so far no ad farms, but we do have Club Havana taking up most of the sim. Govenor Linden is also my neighbor and he doesn't allow that stuff on his protected seas.

I guess if you want mainland you had better be prepared to shell out big bucks for some protected borders.

Ask someone selling a 1024 to split it, but if you're looking for land then the first page or two is generally crap. Sometimes you find the odd gem.

I have a quiet 512 in mainland, no ad farms around, and I think I saw some plots for sale there and in sims nearby, IM me inworld if you want to look around

I'll never make a 512m out of larger parcels until i am guaranteed ad farmers wont ruin it.

Your best bet is a private sale.

It isn't all bad. I found a 512 adjacent to my 4096 in Marcell for about L$11 per sqm. The two together are perfect for premium because the 512 is free tier. I would have thought someone would really try to stick it to me for that.

And the surroundings are only a little chaotic. No ad farms in sight. No roads in sight either and maybe that's why.

I recently took walks along the roads of some of the older sims. They are beautiful. I couldn't believe it. I hope LL comes up with a solution to the Ad Farm problem fast before those parcels start going up for sale and the those sims are ruined like most of the rest of the mainland.

My friend and I recently purchased a beautiful 1024m plot, bordered on one side by a protected ocean (we love you Governor Linden), on another by friendly neighbors, a store behind me and a skyhouse on the other. I've found a lot of beautiful plots of land recently.

Hope springs eternal.

Go to Desdemona. There are currently 53 512 and no adfarms anywhere.

the trick is to bypass all the cheap 512.
go straight to the ones listed at $12/m+

When I see a sim with that much yellow on the map I see an ocean of spinning ads as far as the eye can see in a very short time.

I am selling a 512 for L$8k which borders a sim which someone has made into a big garden/park and is also really close to the sea. It's a lovely area as most of the parcels around the sim have been turned into residences facing the garden. IM me in-world for a LM as I can't remember the sim name off the top of my head this early in the morning

And I log in soon after and some looser puts up an ad on a 16m plot. So, I bought up the plots on each side of him and hid the moron. I hadn't even seen those plots for sale.

Well I don't know what constitutes a short time is in your time frame. But it's been like that for at least a 1.5 months that I've observed and still no adfarms. I hope it stays that way.

Well 6 were sold since this post, leaving 47 left and there are still no ad farms!

There are a couple of 1024's by me in Slyme- great neighbors and no ad farms that I have noticed.

I just bought a 2096 for quite a bit in Baku, but it is seaside, and roadside...so very protected. Plus I already had land in BAKU so I needed the prims.

There is a 512 lot there for 1 400 000. lol seriously.
