Can'l change the name of my AV?

l would like to change the name of my AV (by preserving the same account and inventory)
Is it possible?
If yes, can'l take a personal name?

Unfortunately, no. You are stuck with your name forever. You can make an alt with a new name and transfer as much as possible, but your non-transfer inventory will be stuck with your primary.

It blows. The second they allow name changes, I'll sign up for a new last one. Hell, I'll pay them for a new last name. ANY last name.

Like Trout says, you cannot keep your account and inventory and change name.
You can create a new one with a new name and transfer all transferrable items to that account.
You can as far as I know also "buy" a custom name for $100 (I think).

Other than that you're Veronique for good.

A couple of thoughts, Veronique:

First, that's a pretty name. I think you ought to keep it.

Second, if you really can't stand it, create an alt...a new account. When you do, check the website http://www.slnamewatch.com for available last names. It's more complete than the partial selection they show you on the LL registration page.

Once your alt is created, make Friends between her and your main. Then transfer any cash and all transferable items. Your main account will then become your seldom-used alt. Just don't forget her password, you may want her again someday.

When you think about it, it's probably good we can't change our avatar names. You can change everything else...size, sex, species...SOMETHING has to identify you as "you." In SL, it's your name.
