I was talking to someone last night who gave me a copy of an object called OOC. There was a translation problem (I spoke english and havn't a clue what he was talking about). Anyways, I got the idea that this oject (when worn) had something to do with IM. I did try it after he left and it said something about typing /22 and your message.
I never tried that, but can someone tell me what the object is suppost to do? Is it just another way to IM people?
Thanks Guys, JulieAnne

I am guessing its in relation to RP? If so then it means Out Of Character. Basically anything said through that is said outside of the actual RP itself and not to be included as part. For example, while rping, you may have a question about something so you would say it through that. =)

You type /22 whatever and "whatever" comes across as colored text, as opposed to standard, white-colored text. It's just a way to let others in role play know that what you just said was not said "in character" but "out of character" (OOC). Traditionally, OOC has been designated with parenthesis like ((I said this OOC)).

We can all take guesses as to what it is, but a word of caution.
If you do not know this guy, and he gave you a script, or an object containing a script, no matter how much you understand about what it it supposed to do, be very very careful about wearing it.
You hear a lot about rogue scripts emptying inventories, logging chats and sending them to people, etc.
If you don't know what it is, and if you don't 100% need it, just be careful, ok?

If you simply don't understand what it's doing, delete it. Or give it to an alt with nothing to lose, I guess. (ALT: Why am *I* always the guinea pig? Tell you what. From what I've heard, Alt, you get to do all the fun stuff! You don't have to act all responsible and stuff. You have people throwing money at you that you never have to earn, and get to buy all kinds of stuff that your mains would never buy. Lucky lucky Alt!
