Hopefully I can post this here.
We're planning a double wedding and of course everyone wants something incredibly nice with all the bells & whistles.
I've looked at quite a few places and I've noticed this can be incredibly hard on the pocketbook to the total of 50,000 lindens or more.
I'm as romantic as they come but $200 USD for a virtual wedding is a little bit....insane?
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

You can do it on your own ... find friends that have nice sim/land & borrow it for the day w/ just a little apprciation fee. Buy your wedding ceremony props in SLX or in-world; maybe you can ask one of your friend to officiate the wedding w/ the real-ceremony like. Hire a photographer in-world who can photoshop your pics (I have a couple of guy friends who can do that in-expensively). If you do not have any friends to help you set up, you could always come and find me in-world & I will help you set it up. I've done it several times for my friends ... good luck!!

From: Angelique Gausman You can do it on your own ... . Buy your wedding ceremony props in SLX or in-world; This part alone terrifies me; too much to think about and remember, and it's a double wedding too......too important of a day to be stressing over whether you forgot a pose ball, and then to find out you did and it's an important one too.....ack! I'd think half the fun is in the anticipation, and there'd be SOME things you'd want to do yourself; more time to concern one's self with important things like your dress, lol instead of did you remember to buy the ring bearer a pose ball. Me, Id rather leave it up to a wedding planner like Sable who already knows/has all that fun stuff, plus her own wedding sim, and me and my groom to be could go do something fun instead, while leading up to that day.

See I also believe some wedding vendors charge outrageous prices. I look at it like this, save some of that buy some land. There are many reasons why doing it yourself may not be conducive. It just depends on one's taste. I know I can work out something with him. But thank you anyway Angelique and I was just poking fun at you.

Not to take anything away from sable, or even from the do-it-yourself suggestion...
But it occurs to me that a RL wedding will run you $20,000 AND UP. And that's without a lot of the "bells and whistles". And a double wedding would cost a lot more. $200 doesn't sound like all that much, when you think of it like that. Or think of it as fifty bucks per person. There are plenty of restaurants that'll charge you that for a meal.

I suppose $200 is not really that bad when compared to a RL wedding. Thank goodness a virtual divorce is almost free Firing up Metabolt now, talk to you soon Sable.

Rick...first of all...CONGRATULATIONS...It must be very exciting... Secondly, if you'd like music at your wedding ceremony, I'd be more than happy to do it for you, timezone permitting etc. If you send me an email or pm...I can send you an mp3 etc so you can have a listen if you like.. Or I've done a youtube vid...for a classical song that I sing, don't usually look the way I do in the vid, did that just for effect...lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1v3VUzZf6joAnyway, regardless of whatever you decide to do things, I wish you and yours nothing but the best of luck...

I can give you the address of the nearest Greyhound depot if you need it Rick But seriously - go to a beach, set environment to sunset and have a friend read something they Googled. Et voila, you're hitched.

The Garden. Talk to Feather Queso- beautiful area featuring waterfalls, beaches and caves. Feather also never charged us a cent, though we did donate to her island rent. She'll even set the stream for whoever djs as well.

Thanks in advance. $200 USD may or not be too high. I would definitely pay it to be married to who i am currently married to in SL. We spent a lot of Linden. I did not keep track, but it was definitely worth it...Especially considering our 1 year wedding anniversary is in 8 days! zomg what am i going to do for that?!
