or have I suddenly started breathing? Well not me...my av. Making clothing I spend a lot of time zoomed in on various body parts, including my chest....

so just now I uploaded something and put it on, and was zoomed in checking it out, and suddenly realized my av's chest was moving as if I were breathing. I stared at it for a while...trying to think if it always did that or if I am just having a flashback to the hippy trippy days of my youth.

So tell me...did my av always breathe?

For what it's worth, now that I think about it, something else was different on log in too. Environment was on night, but it was much darker than it usually is. I didn't really think about it, just set it to midday so I could see...my av breathing.

I think we have always breathed, but it could be your AO. Did you get some new standing poses for your AO?

Having lived in Los Angeles for many years, may I say that I hope LL does NOT decide to introduce 'visible air' for our avatars to breathe....

Yup. Many user animations override the chest motion and hide it (recently, some try to duplicate it), but it's always there with the default stuff.

You can already have visible air in WindLight if you turn up the haze settings!!!

It's not an AO.....it's a default thing. Most AO's override it. So the easiest way to get your breathing back it to take off your AO.

Weird! I just noticed this too a couple days ago. I never saw the breathing before. Here's my story, bought an ao, but took it off, cause after I tried to figure out how to eliminate the ones I didn't like (which it said it had an option to do but was only able to eliminate one) so I took it off and then I did notice breathing and thought it was very cool. I never noticed it before either???

And speaking of settings, I use SUNSET almost all of the time because much easier on my eyes. But when a newbie on SL I had midday setting before I knew settings could be changed and I never saw breathing? Only a couple days ago.

/me thinks she needs to get a real life now and not spend money on silly junk.

I prefer standing like a noob.

Yep, the SL walks are awful, but the rest of the built-ins really aren't bad.

For those having questions about AO's - it's really easier than you might think to create your own animation repertoir using ZHAO II which is wonderful and I think free. You just put the animations you want in it by dragging and dropping (after trying them out in an animation store and purchasing them), and then you edit a notecard included in ZHAO's contents by following some simple instructions.

Mine has two walks I have to choose between, but it automatically cycles the standing poses -- which do breathe. All the other poses, flying, sitting, crouching, etc, are all LL's defaults, but I could change those too if I wanted. I couldn't be happier with it.

Yep. the latest version of the zhao-II is just awesome. The notecard within has good instructions, so a bit of tinkering and you have just the ao you want.

The only problems I have encountered is when I added animations that had colons in the name. It created an error and the animation could not be "found". All anims from this one maker were mod so I could change the name and it worked fine - except one good sit that turned out to have different permissions so it ended up being useless.
