I have a plot with no build restrictions on it that I let friends use. Last night, my partner finished up some mods to a freebie house and left it in place. When she logged on again this morning, two thirds of it were gone.

There's no auto return, or any other restrictions. I hadn't logged on or returned anything. There was no overlap onto a neighbors land.

It turned up in her inventory as a coalesced object, but it took some searching.

I've been in SL for well over a year and had my share of inventory loss and bugs, but nothing like this.

Does anyone have any idea what could have happened?

The always possible "LL Glitch". Possibly related to the Rolling Restarts, or the SF reagions down, or the ISP trouble as of late. Check to see if the timeframe involved corrilates to any of these incidents.

Or, is the land Group Land? If so, check to see who has Return options. Maybe someone did by accident, or on purpose (though what purpose is another matter). I'm not sure what all Abilities Officers have by default anymore. When the last group change came out, they had FAR too many by default. Not sure if that was changed, so you may want to go down the list item-by-item.

Or, do you sleewalk? *Grins* [that's a joke, btw ^.~]

Last December, I build a whole club on my parcel (I was on the mainland at the time). Overnight, the whole thing disappeared. It was not returned to my inventory. Everything was lost. Never got a reply from LL. Never got a hint as to what happened. Had to rebuild everything.

Learned to keep copies of my builds, for sure!
