Is there a way to get rid of the 'mouse movement' destroys my away status? At least I think thats whats doing it... I try to go away then get up from my (wobbly) desk and suddenly i'm not away.... it's kinda annoying...

I find this irritating too. The solution is easy though, just minimize your SL window.

up at the top menu, Client>Character>Character Tests>Go away/afk when Idle

Change that and let the fun begin...

I have a blindfold that puts some hovertext over my head stating that I am AFK, and I set myself as "Busy" with an autoresponse much like an answering machine.

I find this irritating too. The solution is easy though, just minimize your SL window.

When I minimize all aplications, my screensaver activates faster (On purpose, security and such), and my computer recovering from my screensaver into SL sometimes freaks out... so thats a harder option for me lol....

No problem. Using the method I just told you, you will never log off unless the sim you are on goes down with you on it...so be careful

Oh awesome.. I was wondering about that o.o I like to stay online during dinner, which can take an hour or more if company is over... cool ^^

I'm really surprised nobody suggested the most obvious solution: stuff a wad of GPBs under your desk's short leg. Works for me.

(Obviously I'm assuming a slanting desk wobble as opposed to a horizontal desk wobble).

I stand up before choosing AFK to make sure I don't bump anything. Then I tiptoe away and peek around the door frame....shhhhhhh.....

I solve the annoyance of a table with one bum leg the way they'd fix it during the Civil War:

Seriously though, Sae Luan is right. Mousewiggles won't disrupt afk, which is awesome. You have to deselect the afk through World menu.

I wish they'd change it to "press a key to return from afk" instead of "disturb a molecule of air in your room to return from afk", myself.

I've seen (once) a cellphone that had a talking animation when it was worn on the hand, and had particles comming fromthe phone at regular (but not annoying) time intervuals that read "AFK".

Wish I could find where those are sold at,heh.
